By usage of
Surf724.com internet access you agree to the
following:
- Your
account is billable the day you sign up for
service. If you receive a statement
your bill must be paid within 15 days
of the billing date or you
will be disconnected.
- If you wish to
have your service suspended for any
reason, we can, but only for a month or more
at a time. The same policy applies
to refunds. If you sign up for
a month - you bought a month. We do
not refund a weeks worth or two weeks worth of
internet access nor will we suspend you
for a week or two. If you are a quarterly or
semi-annual customer and are paid ahead and need
to end your service, you will be refunded all
full
months remaining. Third party
services such as spam filtering and shopping carts
are not refundable.
- Users are
responsible for their own equipment - including
anti-virus protection.
You must have a computer that is properly equipped
and set up for internet access. If it is not
set up or you are not sure, you
should call the person or company from whom you
purchased your equipment.
- Our
technical support involves connection
problems only. Your monthly
access charges do not include
service on your computer. We offer computer
repairs as a separate service at reasonable prices.
- Users are responsible
for their own telecommunications access charges,
if any.
- Users will not use any
part of the Surf724.com internet system for
illegal or criminal activities.
- Users will not attempt
to gain unauthorized access to any part of the
Surf724.com system.
- Common
courtesy and decency are expected
when using the Surf724.com system, this includes
the content of WWW or FTP sites, and the sending
of offensive, threatening or unsolicited e-mail.
- Users are
responsible for all use of their accounts,
including choosing a secure password.
- Multiple
logins for an account are not permitted.
If you wish to be able to login with multiple
accounts, contact us and we will provide you with
pricing and availability.
- Surf724.com reserves
the right to limit, deny, or interfere with use of
our system as we see fit.
- We offer UNLIMITED
ATTENDED ACCESS. It is a courtesy to other
users to disconnect from the system when you are
not using it. Surf724.com reserves
the right to disconnect inactive connections.
Surf724.com also reserves the right to disconnect
accounts found to be using automated activity
software or hardware.
- Surf724.com
continually monitors our systems for
security and maintenance purposes. Anyone found to
not be in compliance with the policies of
Surf724.com will have their account locked until
we are contacted by the account holder.
- Electronic
mail is considered private by Surf724.com.
We will not read e-mail unless we are working to
diagnose a system error. Contents of email will
not be given out for any reason unless there is a
written request by the receptor or a valid warrant
from recognized law enforcement. Attempts to
access email or other private files that are not
your own will result in removal from our systems,
and possible legal action by the rightful owner of
said files.
- We are not
responsible for storing your e-mail.
If you need to save everything - save it to your
computer. Your e-mail box on our server will
hold 2 megabytes. When it's full it will
no longer accept mail. Please do not use the
e-mail system for sending large software and music
files, there are other services for file sharing that are better suited for this
purpose. Keep your mailbox cleaned
out. You can do so by using the web mail client on
our home page to delete items in the inbox,
outbox, sent items and trash folders. If you
need a little more space for mail, call us and we
will work with you.
- Unsolicited
Bulk Email
(SPAM) - Surf724 does not
allow the use of it's systems for the distribution
of unsolicited bulk email.
- Free
web space is your responsibility. We
do not back up personal web pages. You need
to keep a copy of your work on your machine.
We recommend Microsoft Front Page for editing your
web page. We set up your web space so it can
be accessed with Front Page. Learning how to
use your software is your responsibility.
